We were in Evanston for the 4th of July this year - typically we are up at the Lake.
We made the absolute most of Chris' day off by working a TON in the yard, Chris played a round of golf, biking to the parade, and hosting friends for a backyard BBQ!
Backyard decoration
Buffet is ready!
Does anyone else think the dried alliums look a touch like fireworks?? That's what I was going for.....
Happy Birthday America!!
Lulu getting in the spirit of things at Home Depot
Our friends scored a perfect parade watching location & shared it with us!
I thought for sure my cousin Brian was messing with Chris when he said he'd be leading the Kazoo Band in the parade....he wasn't! He's on the far right, carrying a flag & jamming out!
Lulu loves trucks & music. No surprise she loved her first parade :)
Everyone gather round the baby pool!
It was super sweaty, hot, humid weather - so it felt incredibly summery.
I hope you & yours had a fantastic holiday - maybe you are still celebrating?!?
In case you need a reminder of what we're celebrating - you can read the Declaration of Independence here.
